Until recently, CES (Consumer Electronics Show) would have been fairly irrelevant to us as cyclists. That isn’t the case any more, though – there’s now a whole floor devoted to fitness with much of that being cycling specific. From blood lactate monitors to an ear piece that measures (and transmits) your heart rate, there were a bunch of innovations that could well have a significant effect on how we train.
Smart Bikes aren’t new, but, they might be about to get better looking. Brands like LeEco and SpeedX are pushing forwards with some highly integrated smart bikes. Handlebar lasers anybody? Bzzz bzzz…
Over in the real world, the cyclocross nationals took place in the Northern Hemisphere and the road nationals in the Southern. We have the round ups including a surprise win in Australia and basically no surprises anywhere else.
